She’s Got a Gun
I purchased my first gun in 1991, right after Desert Storm, largely as a way to connect with my brother who had wanted to be a gunsmith. He died in Vietnam when I was 12. Initially, I was afraid of the gun, but over time, I began attending Ladies Night at the local shooting range and befriending other women who shared my interest. The photographs, and the book under the same title (published by Temple University Press), explore fifteen years of my experience in the gun world.
